The Gen Ryu Kan, which translated means “Practical flow”, is located in Dover, Kent. It was founded by Christophe Courtin and Phil Eyers with the help of Gowaryu Aikido (Ashford, Kent). Genryukan Aikido is part of the All England Tomiki Aikido Federation (Zen Eikoku Tomiki Aikido Renmei).

All England Tomiki Aikido Federation (or “Zen Eikoku Tomiki Aikido Renmei“) aims to provide some of the best Kata coaching available, our aim is to bring the koryu no kata back to a standard format rather than the make them up as you go along that is taking place in some associations.

The GOWA RYU, which translated means “Five Ring System”, is a relatively new club in Ashford, Kent. It was founded by Jim Dempster. It has two  sister clubs, “Katsujinken Aikido Ryu” in Deal, Kent and “Genryukan Aikido” in Dover, Kent. All of those clubs are part of Zen Eikoku Tomiki Aikido Renmei.
